Landry Sledding in the Snow

Calvin took Landry sledding down the hill by my Grandma's house yesterday. She had SO much fun. I was so scared when I saw Calvin send her down by herself. She did great and laughed and laughed as she went down. I tried to stop her for a few (good) close-up pictures. However, she wanted no part of it as it delayed her trip back up the "mountain" so she could zoom back down. I managed to get one good one though. Love the snowflakes on her eyelashes.

A Few Good Pictures

Okay, so there were a few good pictures. My mom and I were exhausted after these wonderful "sessions." So much work!!! I am not sure who had more meltdowns - Landry, Brody or me. Tis the season!

Christmas photos?????

I will let some of these pictures speak for themselves. Why, why, why is it so hard to get kids to sit still, look in the same direction and smile????? Once, only one good picture, is that too much to ask??? I guess so!!!

The Frustrated Face of a Roly-Poly

Brody learned last Thursday for sure how to roll over. He rolled over one time a few weeks ago. Two times the week after and more times than I can count since last week. He can roll back to front with ease. Sometimes he can roll front to back. These pictures are to show the face of frustration for all of those times when he can't. Turtles get stuck on their backs, babies on their tummies. Such an irritating thing!!!

Only Time for Pictures

I don't know how you fellow blogger moms can get it done. My last post was September 5th - YIKES!!! I struggle just finding time to go to the bathroom (by myself) during the day. Here are just a few pictures to show how my sweet kiddos are ever changing. Sorry Dad - tried to crop the picture!

Where Did the Last 5 Weeks Go????

Where do the days go? Brody is growing and changing so quickly. Definitely not a newborn any more. Every morning I wake up and wonder if he grew overnight. He is starting to 'talk' and smiles multiple times a day. It makes my heart melt when he looks straight at my face and smiles or opens up his mouth in delight. My eyes fill with tears every time. I love his chubby cheeks - so evident when he is laying down and they almost disappear when he sits up.
We are currently introducing a bottle to him. The first did not go well. The next 2 were okay. He gets that, "Why are you doing this to me?," face. I am dreading the thought of going back to work. I so enjoy being able to spend the days with my kiddos. They certainly fill my life and heart with love and pride.

Landry turns 3!!

Terrible Twos changes to Toned Down Threes, right??? Landry turned 3 years old this Labor Day weekend. We had a party in Harper for her. She had a great time. She came to me after and said, "I had so much fun in there!" Landry just moved up to the Preschool 1 class at daycare. She seems to be so much happier. Things were getting a little rocky in the T-3 (toddler 3) class that she was in. All of the kids were younger and she was getting bored. Hopefully she will find this class more challenging. I am sure the teachers will find her to be of challenge for them. Seriously, where is the volume and sass control on a three year old? And how do you get them to listen? I though men had selective hearing - they ain't got nothin on a preschooler. Landry keeps us on or toes and provides us with so many smiles. The morning of her birthday, when she woke up, we sang a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday to her. Her immediate response when we were done was, "Are you kidding me guys?" at a volume level of LOUD! I have no idea what this meant, but I am sure that she wasn't questioning our wonderful singing abilities.

Speaking of loud. I am not sure that I will ever get this post done. I was just called from across the house to tend to Miss Flores as she needed marshmallows - NOW!

Anyway!!! ....pictures from her party (SO out of order, I am working on it!)

I love this picture. I wonder if she will be a ballerina - she is 'on pointe'. Wait... do ballerinas and cupcakes go together???? They do in my world!!! Landry was touching the frosting, then scraping it off with her finger. Then she just began licking and eating it - no hands necessary. Butter and sugar -that's my girl!!

Pictures!

I believe the first post was successful. Now to try to add pictures - so technical!!

Here are a couple pictures of Brody from his recent hospitalizations. SO sad! Although I was a Pediatric nurse for 2 years I discovered that you handle things far differently when it is your baby. I cried far more than he did. Two lumbar punctures, two IVs, two nasal aspirations, three heel sticks and a straight cath for urine. YIKES! That's a lot of poking and prodding. He did great though.

Brody is much better now. He loves to eat - frequently he is hungry every hour! He sleeps great at night in 3-4 hour stretches. He spends his days as a newborn should. Lots of naps, diapers and gazes into my eyes. I love to sing to him. He stares so intently at my face - very sweet. Landry can't get enough of him. She is always wondering where he is, what he is doing. "Why did he make that noise? Why did he move his hand? Why is he sleeping?" Very inquisitive.

Well, off to nap! HA! Right, the baby will be awake any minute .....

Giving the Blog a Try!

Well, I decided to catch up with the times and create my own blog. I so enjoy reading others, it was about time I made one for myself. I am not sure how often it will be updated though.
OOOPS!!
Well.....I have just spent the last 10 minutes trying to find where this post went. Here one minute, gone the next. I don't know about this ;>
